TS321: MICROPACKAGED GENERAL
PURPOSE OP-AMP

Designed in bipolar technology the TS321 is a recent addition to the miniature SOT23-5 Op-Amp portfolio. Termed 'general purpose', this single gate Op-Amp matches and improves the specifications
of industry standard devices such as the LM358A, and the LM324.
The TS321, while offering a comparable performance to the industry standard amplifiers has been shrunk considerably. Miniature die size reduces manufacturing cost and miniature IC packaging reduces PCB space requirements offering higher application performance through significant parasitic reduction. Popular application areas for the small surface Op-Amp are in designs where minimum disturbance
to the existing PCB layout is permissible.
Features:
- Operates over a wide range of supply voltages from as low as 3V (or ±1.5V) up to a maximum
of 30V. Low voltage operation opens the door to a vast range of battery operated handheld
or portable equipment applications, while the total current consumption of 300mA (typical) reduces battery drain.
- Low input offset voltage (0.5mV typical, 2mV maximum) enables higher precision in low level sensor signal manipulation.
- High output swing improves the useful dynamic range and the signal to noise ratio
(3.5Vpp minimum at Vcc=5V and Rl=2k½. Input voltage range includes negative rail
(Vicm from -0.2V to +3.5V at Vcc=5V).
- Dynamic features: Gain-Bandwidth product is 0.8MHz and typical slew rate reaches 400V/ms.
- High stability offers improved load capacitance drive (typical phase margins 60°
with load = 2k½/100pF).
