Abstract
UWB (ultra-wide band) impulse radio has been recently proposed as a viable candidate for high-throughput indoor wireless communications. In this work, we characterize quantitatively the MAI (multi-access interference) of an impulse radio system utilizing pseudo-random time hopping. In particular, we provide an analytical expression of the BER (bit-error-rate) performance as a function of the number of users and validate it by simulation. |
