Voltage Reference from STMicroelectronics Saves Power |
||
Geneva,
December 5, 2003 - STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM) has introduced a
low-power, adjustable shunt voltage reference.The part is designed for use in applications such as power supplies and battery chargers, portable equipment, computers, instrumentation and power management systems. The TS432 is a low-power shunt voltage reference with a 1.24V output. The output can be adjusted up to 10V using an external resistor bridge. The operating current can be as low as 60µA at 25°C and ranges up to 12mA. The part is accurate to ±1%, or to ±0.5% for the TS432A variant. Its temperature coefficient is 100 ppm/°C. The parts are typically stable with any capacitive load, and across the industrial temperature range of -40 to +85°C. This eases design. The part is offered in a space-saving SOT23-3L package.
