Geneva, April 21, 2008 – With reference to data published yesterday by Finnish daily
Helsingin Sanomat and widely picked-up by international wire agencies, STMicroelectronics
is convinced that the figures reported on corporate growth are the result of a
misunderstanding. ST sees no reason to deviate from the guidance given in recent
communications to the market.
