HF, short-range RFID ICs

STMicroelectronics offers a wide range of reader Ics and tag Ics for contactless short-range applications such as transport, industrial identification and anti-counterfeiting.
These short-range applications use low-cost transponders embedded in plastic cards or paper tickets.
Transaction security is enshured by optional anti-clone functions.
Required security levels are satisfied through password, anti-clone, or cryptographic capabilities.
The products comply with the IS0 14443-B standard.


Short-range RFID memories (ISO 14443-B): SRI512, SRT512, SRI4K and SRIX4K


SRI512
With a 512-bit non-volatile memory, the SRI512 is fully anti-collision capable.
 
 
SRT512
Derived from the SRI512, the SRT512 supports transport ticketing specifications such as Intertic, issued by the French standards association (AFNOR). 

SRIX4K
In addition to its 4096-bit non-volatile memory, the SRIX4K supports France Telecom’s proprietary anti-clone function and anti-collision scheme based on 8-bit Chip_ID.

SRI4K
The SRI4K offers the same features as the SRIX4K without the authentication functionality.

Short-range RF couplers: CR14 and CRX14 (SO16N package)


CR14
The CR14 is based on the CRX14, but excludes support of France Telecom’s proprietary anti-clone function.

CRX14
The CRX14 is a short-range contactless coupler fully compliant with the ISO 14443 type B standard. The coupler uses France Telecom’s proprietary anti-clone function and anti-collision mechanism.
This complete solution combining the CRX14 coupler and SRxx chips ensures total compatibility in protocol access and features secure anti-counterfeiting.
