No more external circuits to avoid radio noise while starting the car: just a single chip solution!
|
A welcome end to annoying car radio speaker noise during crank up has arrived. When a car is started, noise is sometimes emitted by the speakers during a lowering of the battery charge, a phenomenon called Pop-Up, that car radio designers are all too familiar with. From the new generation of regulators, the L4987CPT is the device that brings a solution to the market. This low battery charge causes the input voltage to be too low and the pass transistor to be in saturation state.
Under these conditions, the regulator SVR is weak, thus causing noise in the audio system with the use of previous devices. The output flag can be used to mute the final audio amplifiers, or to reset the microprocessor.
