The LD29300 is an high current, high precision, very low-dropout voltage regulator. This 3A version is the first of a complete family of new LDOs designed with different output currents. The new LD29300 is able to work with a dropout voltage of 400mV at a full load of 3A. Although designed for high current loads, it can easily be used in applications where a lower current is needed, but where their tiny dropout voltage make them suitable for extremely low dropout critical systems. The LD29300 is fully protected against overcurrent and overtemperature operation. The five pin versions feature logic level ON/OFF and adjustable output voltage. The LD29300 is available in TO-220 and surface mount D2PAK, P2PAK, D2PAK/A and P2PAK packages.
