LD and KD SeriesThe requirements of the present computer market are moving towards high current very low drop, Voltage Regulators in space saving packages. Motherboard manufactures are searching for solutions where greater power handling capability is offered in SMD packages.

The LDO family has taken a significant role in the main data storage building block, thanks to their bipolar technology that permits a fast response time.

The latest generation of motherboards require a high output current value in a small surface mounting package, such as the DPAK. This package with its three terminal configuration offers the best compromise in terms of power dissipation and space.
