The SMP80MC is a
series of micro capacitance transient surge arrestors designed
for the protection
of high debit rate communication equipment on CPE side. Its micro
capacitance avoids any distortion of the signal and is compatible
with digital transmission like ADSL2 and ADSL2+.
This is the
first Trisil series for which the capacitance (Cj) does not depend
on the device voltage and this is the first 80 A device with
such a low capacitance. By fine tuning the trade-off Repetitive
peak pulse current / Capacitance for broad-band transmission,
ST offers the capability for the customer to decrease the capacitance
to 7pF @ VR = 50V bias and 13.5pF @ VR = 2V bias (with a VRMS
= 1V and F = 1MHz signal).
Its lowest micro capacitance avoiding
any distortion of the signal and its strong compatibility with
worldwide telecom standards, offer the best performance with
the highest security level.
Suitable
for ADSL2+ and VDSL,
the new SMP80MC series
offers the lowest junction capacitance
and complies with subscriber-side standards
for telecom equipment protection.
All SMP80MC devices
are packaged in SMB.
